Regular recycling, non-recycling and food collections are continuing as normal at the moment
If your household is self isolating, personal waste (such as used tissues) and disposable cleaning cloths can be stored securely within disposable rubbish bags. These bags should be placed into another bag, tied securely and kept separate from other waste. This should be put aside for at least 72 hours before being put in your usual external household waste bin.
There will be no green waste collections from 1 April 2020 until further notice. This will allow us to prioritise the other waste services and make sure they can continue to run as normal.
Ordering new bins
We are unable to take reports of replacement bins until further notice
In the meantime, non-recycling can be put in black bags, recycling in untied bags that are not black or purple and food waste in a cardboard box. You should continue to put your waste out on your normal collection day.
All Essex recycling centres are now closed until further notice.
