Civic awards

You will need to inform the individual/community group/business that they have been nominated for an award as we may need to contact them.

Appropriate checks will be made on short-listed nominations prior to the decision to make an Award and Awards will only recognise those who have acted with honesty and integrity. The eligibility criteria are subject to review at any point.

All nominations and correspondence will be treated with the strictest confidentiality.

Harlow Council is using a legitimate interest to collate information and will only use the information for the sole purpose of evaluating the nominations for the Civic Awards. Harlow Council is the Data Controller as defined by Data Protection regulations.

Personal information is collected as part of the nomination process to enable us to assess the nominations and to communicate directly with nominees and nominators. The contact details will be used to send letters and to arrange judging. Some information may be used to promote the Civic Awards.

You should note that shortlisted applications for the Civic Awards will be kept for a period of one year.
